Tamil Nadu Anuvrat Samiti had the proud privilege of celebrating the 68th Anuvrat Foundation Day at Sholingar in the holy presence of Sadhvi Shri Kavyalataji, a learned disciple of His Holiness Acharya Shri Maha Shramanji. It was a memorable occasion to recall the day when our Gurudev Shri Tulsiji had founded the moral reformation movement to purify the individual, society and thereby the nation at large.
The celebrations commenced with the teaching of the practical exercises of Preksha Dhyan by Sadhvi Shri Jyoti Yashaji. The holy Mangalacharan was rendered melodiously by the Mahila Mandal, Sholingar.
Smt. Mala Katrela, President of Tamil Nadu Anuvrat Samiti extended a hearty welcome to one and all for having participated in the memorable celebrations. She extolled the principles and the code of conduct of Anuvrat and paid her deep respects to the esteemed founder of the laudable movement. She also recalled some of the incidents happened on the founding day when 72 persons volunteered to embrace the movement and the Gurudev stopped enlisting more and more names with His holy remark that it was sufficient for the inaugural day. She exhorted the audience to enrol more and more persons as anuvratis to purify the character of the society.
Smt. Malaji was glad that the 39th Anuvrat Samiti has been constituted on the Founder’s day and congratulated the President and other office-bearers of Sholingar Anuvrat Samiti. The pious residents of the town were also thanked and appreciated for having made such wonderful and nice arrangements.
During the course of her discourse, Sadhvi Shri Kavyalataji recounted the benefits of adopting anuvrat in their lives to the individuals and stressed the advantages accruing thereto. She said that anuvrat strives to effect a total transformation of the persons by eradicating their vices and instilling the virtues in them.
The function was graced by several dignitaries from Chennai which added luster to the celebrations.
Shri Rakesh Khater of Tamilnadu Anuvrat Samiti gracefully compered the entire proceedings of the function. Shri Lalit Anchaliya, secretary, Tamilnadu Anuvrat Samiti and Shri Kamal Mutha of Sholingar proposed the vote of thanks.
